Terms of Use
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Welcome to HazMind. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the HazMind web application (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What HazMind is
HazMind is a guided reference tool that walks you through a series of observations to help characterize an unknown liquid sample against the EPA RCRA hazardous waste characteristics: ignitability, corrosivity, reactivity, and toxicity. It is a decision-support guide only. It does not perform tests, analyze samples, or make determinations on your behalf.
2. Test mode
The Service is currently in test mode. Content, logic, and results are under active review, and corrections are being made on an ongoing basis. Errors or omissions may exist. We welcome your suggestions and feedback at feedback@hazmind.com.
3. Your responsibilities
By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You accept full responsibility for every decision you make, including decisions informed by the Service.
- You will rely on your own training, qualified professionals, safety data sheets, your organization's procedures, and applicable regulations — not on the Service alone.
- You will not use the Service as a substitute for professional, legal, or regulatory advice, or in any situation where an error could cause harm without independent verification.
- You are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations that apply to your handling of hazardous materials.
4. No professional advice
Nothing in the Service constitutes professional, legal, regulatory, or safety advice. Hazardous materials are dangerous. Always follow your training and your organization's safety protocols, and contact qualified professionals or emergency services when in doubt.
5. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice, particularly during test mode. We may also update these Terms; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including damages resulting from decisions made in reliance on it. See our Disclaimer for more.
